Statistical Process Control

Overview

This practical course provides practitioner training in how to control and improve process variation and performance.

It introduces control charts for both variable & attributes data, and explains how to use graphical techniques to analyse process variation. The course also provides practical advice on implementing SPC as a key element of continuous improvement in quality and productivity.

Course objectives:

  • To equip delegates with a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of statistical process control (SPC)
  • To provide a range of common control charts for both variables and attributes
  • To enable delegates to determine process capability and performance
  • To show how SPC can be used as an effective tool for continuous process improvement
  • To preview a selection of additional SPC techniques for special situations
  • To provide a framework for the effective implementation of SPC in the workplace
